PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera system which can easily realize system constitution by a general-purpose recording device of a serial scanning system, which can be connected to various electric appliances, and by a digital camera, and to provide the digital camera and the recording device. SOLUTION: When a digital camera 100 and the printer 200 of a serial scanning system are connected, the scanning possible range of the printer 200 is limited. When they are not connected, the scanning possible range of the printer 200 is released and it is functioned as a general-purpose printer.
