DIGITAL CAMERA AND LENS UNIT FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera superior in operability while the space of a lens barrel is effectively used. SOLUTION: A digital camera 1A has a function element part 100A in a lens barrel 52A storing an image pickup optical system. The function element part 100A is constituted of a liquid crystal display(LCD) 130 being a function element and a function element support part 110A supporting LCD 130. The function element part 100A can freely turn around a Y-axis. The function element part 100A can take an inverted first state along the outer peripheral face of the mirror barrel 52A and a second state P12a erected from the outer peripheral face of the mirror barrel 52A. Since the function element can be arranged in a part except for a camera main body 2, parts loading density into the camera is improved and the camera can be made compact. Thus, LCD 130 can easily be viewed by setting the function element part 100A is set to the erected second state.
