PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge section concealing cap, which can be prevented from falling down and can be designed to have diversity, and a foldable portable communication apparatus equipped with the cap. SOLUTION: The foldable portable communication apparatus, to which a hinge section concealing cap 4 is applied, is composed of a first enclosure 1, a second enclosure 2, and a hinge 3 which connects the enclosures 1 and 2 to each other. In the apparatus, the cap 4 is provided to cover hinge 3, so that the structure of the hinge 3 is not seen from the outside. The cap 4 is attached to the hinge 3 in advance, and after the enclosures 1 and 2 are put in each other, the hinge 3 is inserted into the second enclosure 2 from the outside and then fixed. Accordingly, the cap 4 is fixed, in such a way that the cap 4 is pinched by the enclosure 2 and will not fall down from the communication apparatus. Since the cap 4 does not rotate in the second enclosure 2, regardless of the rotation of the first enclosure 1, the cap 4 can be designed, in such a way that the cap 4 imparts a sense with the cap 4 being integrated with the enclosure 2.
