The cassette seal for sealing the gap between the soap container and drum shaft of a washing machine comprises an outer ring (12) connected to the soap container with dynamically loaded elastomeric seals (14, 15). An inner ring is attached to the shaft which consists of a raceway (13) for the dynamic seal and a support ring (17). This holds the axial section (171) of the raceway and is fitted with an elastomeric seal (172) on the side directed towards the shaft.
