Novel microorganisms directly and biologically degrading polylactate resins and plastics containing the same and a method therefor. More particularly speaking, the above method is characterized by degrading polylactate resins by using actinomycetes belonging to the genus Saccharothrix, Streptoalloteichus , Kibdelosporangium, Lentzea, Actinokineospora, Saccharomonospora, Saccharopolyspora or Actinopolyspora.
