The diving jacket has a connector for connecting to diving equipment (1) . The connector is produced through a sealed quick-fit closure (3) between the jacket and the equipment. When operating the quick fit closure the jacket is automatically opened or closed through a valve which can be an integral part of the closure. The diving equipment can have a device by means of which the valve can be operated to open and close.
