The two stroke internal combustion engine transfer port has a duct connecting the crankcase (4) to an inlet port (2) for the combustion chamber and connected by a non-return valve (21) to a gas circulation channel (22). A charge mixer has a flow guide (23) which spreads the gas flow (40) in the path of the gas from the channel to the duct.
