<p>Feeder includes unitary feed system with associated cutters. The feeder system (1) has drum storage units for strip materials, guidance systems to the construction drum (4), and cutters. A series of supply lines is formed. Transfer units withdraw tire components (strips) from drums and position them in or under a supply- and cutting unit. Feeders carry cut components to the construction drum and lay (3) them onto it. Conveying and transfer systems are constructed as a one-piece, connected system. A conveyor belt (5) is located between a rear cutting and feeding location (7), where the component is supplied to it. In a forward location, where the component is added to the drum, it is constructed for movement and/or pivoting. Each unitary conveying system (2) has at least two supply- and cutting units, or can be moved between appropriate positions for cutting and feeding. The feeder applying the components is a continuous belt and can be moved and/or swung. Feeders have holders or fixing devices for withdrawal of the tire component and for retention of the cut end remaining.</p> |
