A subminiature simulated moving bed device, wherein valve devices, one for each unit packed column, are utilized, which valve device comprises an eluent introduction blind pipe passage opening/closing valve for opening/closing a communication passage which establishes communication between the eluent feed blind pipe flow passage and the recycle liquid circulation distribution passage, an extract draw-out blind pipe flow passage opening/closing valve for opening/closing a communication passage which establishes communication between an extract draw-out blind pipe flow passage and the recycle liquid circulation distribution passage, a raw material mixed liquid feed blind pipe flow passage opening/closing valve for opening/closing a communication passage which establishes communication between a raw material mixed liquid feed blind pipe flow passage and the recycle liquid circulation distribution passage, and a raffinate draw-out blind pipe flow passage opening/closing valve for opening/closing a communication passage which establishes communication between a raffinate draw-out blind pipe flow passage and the recycle liquid circulation distribution passage, thus ensuring that the distribution space volume for liquid is small, that the operating state is stable, that the stable operating state can be restored in a short time even if the operating conditions are changed, and that components can be separated with high significance separation performance.
