construction industry. SUBSTANCE: flexible stop may be used in construction of bridge frameworks. Flexible stop is formed of rod having smooth surface. One end of rod is current-conducting, and other end is to be welded and is provided with central hole along rod axis. Current-carrying end is fitted with head with stamping slope facing its upper end. Other end of rod carries contact end piece shaped as truncated cone with generatrix angle of 40 ± 10 deg to rod axis. In this case, larger base of truncated cone taken up to 60% of end-face area. Central hole located along rod axis is blind, and it is made in truncated cone. Measuring length of welding aluminum wire is press-fitted into this hole for stabilization of welding arc burning. It is better to use steel 09G2S as rod material. As a result, service life of steel ferroconcrete bridges increases by 30-40% without overhaul. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 2 dwg
