A method for production of a windscreen wiper arm (10) with a U-profile cross-section and two insertion holes (12) in the sides (11) of the arm (10), through which a rivet (13) runs, comprises the following steps: creating the insertion holes (12) in a flat arm template (14); plugging a blank rivet (15) in one of the insertion holes (12); bending the sides to create the U-profile and thus bringing the blank rivet (15) to face the other insertion hole (12); pushing the blank rivet into a position running through both insertion holes (12) and riveting the blank rivet (15).
