The cage has long rollers arranged one behind the other in the rolling direction and short rollers with central axial bores. The cage has two cage walls (10,11), arranged one on either side of the rollers, which are fixed by bolts (14) extending through the bores in the short rollers. A small clearance is provided between the cylindrical surfaces of each long roller and its adjacent short roller. Each long roller has two lateral ends (16,17), which engage holder depressions (18,19) in the cage walls. Each holder depression has two radially opposite cylindrical guide surfaces (22), which surround the ends of the long rollers with a narrow clearance and have a common centre line (23) transverse to the roller direction. The centre lines (15) of two adjacent bolts are spaced a distance (x) that is the same as the distances in the roller direction between the centre lines of two adjacent depressions (x1). The radial clearance between the centre sections (13) of the bolts and the bores of the short rollers is larger than the guide clearance of the ends of the long rollers in the holder depressions plus the clearance (y) between the long and short rollers, so that the short rollers are individually guided at adjacent long rollers in the rolling direction.
