Creation of written record of telephone calls, using integrated speech recognition to create text files for storage in database

Access is provided to a public communications network, and an algorithm is used for speech recognition. Also provided are a data processing unit, a working memory, a database, a system clock and a terminal. Telephone conversations are processed to create call records which are stored as text files. Each call by a user may be stored in the working memory as an audio file. The user may determine if the call is to be recorded as a text file in the database or not.
