Washing installation comprises a number of dishwashers arranged in parallel. The loading system contains the dish holder (3) loaded with goods to be washed and a traveller (5) adapted to convey the dish-holder to a selected dishwasher. The traveller can travel along the dishwashers arranged in parallel. The traveller is supported by a travelling rack (6) extending above the dishwasher arrangement. The storage location is adapted to store dish holders which are oriented in advance in the same direction as in a washing operation and has a belt conveyor (12) operating between the first transfer position, the storage zone (4) and the second transfer position. The storage location accommodated a number of dish holders. An independent claim is also included for the dish-washing method.
