SUBSTANCE: method involves cleaning grain from contaminants; shelling; performing staged grinding; sorting out ground products and separating ground substance and flour between stages; polishing. Working tool used for polishing rice substance has abrasive surface provided with base manufactured from epoxy resin hardened with polyethylene polyamine and filler, such as black silicon carbide particles mixture, with base and filler ratio being 0.15:1 - 0.25:1 wt parts. At the first stage, grinding is performed by abrasive containing mixture of silicon carbide particles, with sizes of basic fraction being 1,000-800 microns and 800-630 microns, used in equal weight parts until whiteness factor upon processing is 49.50-57.30% and flour yield is 2.81-6.2%. At the second stage, grinding is effected by abrasive containing mixture of silicon carbide particles, with sizes of basic fraction being 800-630 micron and 630-500 micron, used in equal weight parts until whiteness factor upon grinding is 58.13-66.7% and flour yield is 3.0-5.5%. At the third grinding stage, partial polishing of particles is provided by abrasives containing mixture of silicon carbide particles, with sizes of basic fraction being 630-500 microns and 500-400 microns, used in equal weight parts until whiteness factor is 67.00-72.30% and flour yield is 2.2-4.6%. At final stage, polishing is provided until whiteness factor is 68.10- 70.50% and flour yield is 0.3-0.4%. When needed, process modes may be regulated by changing gap between abrasive surface, sieve shell and brake shoes. Polishing process is performed in machines having metal working tool.
