The ultrasound motor has an annular piezoelectric device (1), an associated transducer (21), a cooperating rotating part (22) and a device for application of 2 HF voltages with a relative phase shift of 90 degrees to the pieezoelectric device, for generating a transducer wave in the transducer, for friction drive of the rotating part. The product of the piezoelectric constant, the admittance and the the mechanical quality factor defining the piezoelectric characteristics of the drive source has a value of not less than 63 times 10 to the power 10 m. S/V. An Independent claim for a manufacturing method for an ultrasound motor is also included.
