An electrical machine has at least one stator forming a magnetic return path yoke (1) which has a structure similar to a winding or coil, the axis of which is aligned with the axis of the electrical machine. The structure of the yoke (1) specifically comprises at least one wire (2) which has an insulation layer. The cross-section of the wire is variable and the magnetic return path yoke (1) has cooling channels lying outside of and/or within the yoke (1).
