The invention relates to a process far the production of an enzyme preparation of low water content, in which an aqueous enzyme preparation is mixed with an organic solvent having a boiling point above 100.degree.C a nd the water is distilled off. The enzyme preparation obtained is particularly suitable for incorporation in liquid bleach-containing detergents.
