Novel microorganisms directly and biologically degrading polylactate resins and plastics containing the same and a method therefor. More particularly speaking, the above method is characterized by degrading polylactate resins by using actinomycetes belonging to the genus <i>Saccharothrix, Streptoalloteichus, Kibdelosporangium, Lentzea, Actinokineospora, Saccharomonospora, Saccharopolyspora</i> or <i>Actinopolyspora</i>.
