An assembly (1) simultaneously garnishes food especially a number of hamburger halves (5) . The food is positioned at chosen fixed points on a tray (4) holder which is then placed under an array of dispenser outlets which simultaneously garnish one or all of the food portions. One or more of the dispenser outlets may be de-coupled from the machine. The dispenser outlets may be arranged in transverse or longitudinal arrays or both. Different types of garnish may be allocated to different outlets. The outlets may all be coupled to one or more garnish reservoirs. The garnish may be paste or liquid such as mustard, tomato ketchup and chopped foods. The food may be dispensed by a hand lever-operated action (32) with a piston (16) and cylinder (10) . |
