A ploughshare assembly (10) which includes a frog (12), a share (11) and a point (16), and in which the share (11) is mounted directly on the frog (12); the share (11) has a lower ground-engaging edge (14), and a forwardly and downwardly extending mounting edge (15) for locating the point (16) on the assembly (10); and, a shin (13) is mounted on the frog (12): characterised in that: (a) the frog (12) includes a point-holding portion (12a) located alongside part of said mounting edge (15) of the share (11) and which projects forwardly thereof; (b) the shin (13) includes a platform extension (13a) which is located alongside part of said mounting edge (15) of the share (11) and which projects forwardly thereof; and, (c) the platform extension (13a) and the point-holding portion (12a) of the frog (12) co-operate in order to form a joint seating on which the point (16) is mounted.
