A liquid delivery device is particularly suited for dosing a toilet bowl wit h cleaning agents. Liquid from a reservoir (10) flows through an inner sleeve (34) of a connector (24) into a cup (18) until the liquid level reaches the mouth (60) of the inner sleeve (34). Web (32) is perforated so that the spac e (14) in cup (18) is open to atmosphere. Liquid is drawn from the cup (18) by a capillary (46) formed between the wall of cup (18) and the connector (24) an d delivered to a porous pad (6). Flushwater runs over pad (6) and supporting plate (8) to disperse the liquid into a toilet bowl.
