The optical advertisement carrier has a housing. There is at least one window (5) in which optical advertisement carrier is arranged. This also includes a light source. The advertisement carrier has a mast (2) with an electric supply lead (9) for supplying a further electrical user load. An electrical work connection is provided between the electric supply lead (9) of the mast (2) and the light source (4) of the housing (1). The optical advertisement carrier consists of a thin, printed, non-transparent material and the light source (4) is arranged inside the housing (1) to illuminate the front side of the advertisement carrier. The advertisement can be a foil which is partly or wholly light transparent and illuminated from the rear. The window itself can be the advertisement carrier.
