An infant car seat and a method of transporting an infant car seat. A first step involves providing an infant car seat with a rigid body defining an infant receiving cavity and having a bottom on which the body rests. A second step involves rotatably mounting at least one wheel to the body in an underlying position. The body is supported by the wheel when in an angular orientation with the bottom of the body raised. A third step involves mounting a handle to the body. The handle has an extended position and a retracted position. In the extended position, the handle extends past the body. The handle is used to raise the bottom to place the body in an angular orientation and exert a force to pull the body along a surface on the wheel.
