TEMPERATURE-SENSITIVE DISCOLORABLE MULTI-COLORED ACRYLIC SYNTHETIC FIBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an acrylic synthetic fiber whose colors are variously changed in response to the changes of temperature without deteriorating the original characteristics, such as touch, of the acrylic fiber, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This temperature-sensitive discolorable multi-colored acrylic synthetic fiber in which the states of a color (1) and a color (2) are tautomerically visibly changed in response to the changes of temperature is formed by applying a dyeing processing to a multi-colored acrylic synthetic fiber formed by blending a thermally discolorable pigment in an acrylonitrile- based polymer in a dispersed state. The fiber is obtained by blending a concentrated aqueous inorganic salt solution containing the polymer with a prescribed amount of the thermally discolorable pigment, wet-spinning the blended product, and then applying a conventional dyeing treatment to the obtained fiber.
