PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a serving cart preventing a trouble of traveling while opening a door. SOLUTION: An electric or an electric assist serving cart is provided with a door 2 opening/closing so as to take in and out a tray 3 in a housing storage 4 with heat insulating/cool insulating function, and equipped with a driving device 12 therein. The serving cart is provided with a lock system 15 stopping the driving device 12 and a detector 5 detecting an opening/closing state of the door 2, and has a releasing means for releasing the lock system 15 on the basis of a result when the detector 5 detects that the door 2 is closed.
