PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dryer capable of substantially evenly extending and housing two quilts within a drum and efficiently drying the quilts without shifting to one side by the rotation of the drum. SOLUTION: This dryer 1 comprises a casing 2 having an input part 6 for a matter to be treated; a permeable drum 5 for housing the matter to be treated put through the input part 6, which is rotatably provided within a treatment chamber 4 formed within the casing 2 in a horizontal state; a rotating drive mechanism 25 for rotating the drum 5; a heating unit 11 for heating the introduced outside air; and an exhaust unit 12 for discharging the hot air to the outside. A partitioning member 35 for partitioning the inner part of the drum 5 into a plurality of housing chambers 36 and 7 is arranged within the drum 5.
