PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for transfer printing wherein an adhesive layer with high affinity with the polyester film is not transferred on the opposite face when a transfer printing material is formed and troubles caused by static electricity when the transfer printing layer is formed and transfer printing is performed are decreased and a releasing layer is hardly broken even when deformation of the transfer printing material is large and the transfer printing is beautifully finished. SOLUTION: A polyester film for transfer printing wherein a releasing layer mainly comprising a thermosetting resin and a thermoplastic resin is formed on one face of a polyester film and a back face treating layer comprising an antistatic layer, and additionally, outside an anti-blocking layer comprising a thermosetting resin and an alkyd resin modified with a saturated fatty acid is formed on the opposite face and the specific surface resistance value is 1×1012 or smaller and thickness t of the releasing layer is 0.05-0.5μm and in addition, number of recessed parts with the depth of at least 0.05μm generated in the release layer when elongation deformation is performed so as to make the elongation 100% are 50/cm2 or less and haze is 10% or smaller is provided.
