PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut capable of giving a large rotational resistance to a bolt, certainly preventing this and a bolt fixing an object from loosening, and assuring easy rotating operation of the nut relative to the bolt. SOLUTION: The nut includes a body 2 and a loosening preventing member 3 installed on the nut body 2. The loosening preventing member 3 is equipped with resilient pieces 32b and 32c, which have a pressing part 33 and a resistance giving part 34 formed spirally. When the nut is engaged with a bolt 100 and rotated, the pressing part 33 abuts to an object H to generate pressing, and accordingly the resistance giving part 34 makes displacement and touches the threads 103 of the bolt 100 to give them a resilient force, and thereby the nut and bolt can certainly be prevented from loosening.
