PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain structure for a muffler, offering simple construction for draining. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas jet 22 is provided at the lower face side of a first inner pipe 13 and a pair of shut-off beads 23 are formed at a bottom 16 of a shell 2 so as to hold a central portion 16a of the bottom 16 therebetween. Part of exhaust gas is jetted from the exhaust gas jet 22 toward the bottom 16 and water collected in the central portion 16a of the bottom 16 is atomized by jetting pressure, swirled upward, sucked into an exit pipe 15 and discharged to the outside. Water staying in the bottom 16 of the hell 2 is removed to maintain good durability without causing rust on the muffler 1. The water collected in the central portion 16a of the bottom 16 is positively held in the portion while being restricted from being moved to the side of the beads 23 by the pair of beads 23, and accelerated to be atomized by the jetting pressure of exhaust gas to improve the draining performance, accordingly.
