PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for forming an ETFE resin layer having the desired thickness with tight adhesion and high productivity along the outer front surface of a rotor having a complicated shape such as two lobes so that it is not easily separated. SOLUTION: Half-cut coating members 30 are previously molded by injection molding of ETFE, the outer front surface of a rotor 14 is coated with two coating members 30 and heated and fused in a holding mold 60, and an ETFE resin layer having the desired thickness is provided on the outer front surface of the rotor 14.
