PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elevate and lower the top plate of an elevating bed by a linear acuator and to support the driving force of the linear actuator by increasing momentum of the top plate in rising direction by gas springs. SOLUTION: The elevating bed has a parallel movement mechanism 16 for hoisting and lowering a top plate 14 which acts as opposed link to a base 12 acting as fixed link. Linear shafts 20 and 22 are respectively mounted on the base 12 and the top plate 14. Sliders 24 and 26 are slidably inserted into the linear shafts 20 and 22 respectively in the direction of the length. Tilted links 28 and 30 are placed between the base 12 and the top plate 14 for constituting the parallel movement mechanism 16. A linear actuator 38 is coupled to the slider 24 for elevate and lowering the top plate 14. Gas springs 40 are provided with a rod 44 which is parallel to the linear shaft 20 and moves to and fro and are coupled to the slider 24. The gas springs 40 supports the linear actuator 38 at the time of rising the top plate 14 and gradually decrease the lowering speed of the top plate 14 when the linear actuator is broken.
|
