PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string or a composite string having an easily applicable extremely thin adhesive layer having low friction coefficient and provide their production process. SOLUTION: The coated string has (a) a 1st coating layer applied to a string and composed of a fluoropolymer having a repeating unit containing polar functional group and (b) a 2nd coating layer surrounding the 1st coating layer and composed of a fluoropolymer having a repeating unit free from polar groups.
