PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical disk apparatus which improves the recording and reproducing characteristic of every zone including a user area by a method wherein, before a signal is recorded on the user area, a recording power which is measured and stored in every zone in advance is corrected by a change rate measured in a zone either on the inner circumference or the outer circumference and the recording power of every zone is optimized. SOLUTION: Before a signal is recorded on a user area, a change-rate computing circuit 9 computes the change rate dP(9)=P2(9)/P1(9) of a recording power on a zone 9 on the outer circumference on the basis of a power P1(9), in the zone 9 on the outer circumference of an optical disk, which is measured by a recording-power measuring circuit 8 and on the basis of an optimum recording power P2(9) which is measured by the measuring circuit 8. A recording-power correction circuit 11 corrects an optimum recording power P1(i) in every zone (i) stored in a storage circuit 10 so as to become P3(i)=P1(i).dP(9). |
