PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating objects for treatment containing hardly decomposable organic matter and solid contents which efficiently removes hazardous materials, such as dioxins and environmental hormones included in sludge, slurry, soil, cake, etc. SOLUTION: The objects for treatment containing the hardly decomposable organic matter and solid contents are mixed with a catalyst and the mixture is agitated to bring the hardly decomposable organic matter and the catalyst into contact with each other, by which the hardly decomposable organic matter is decomposed.
