PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape memory micro coil spring with excellent heat radiation property while having spring force sufficiently adaptable for practical use as a micro machine. SOLUTION: A plurality of single yarn element wires (in Fig. 1, indicated by three of 2a, 2b, 2c) made of a shape memory metal are gathered so as not to be separated from each other thereby to form a bundle of wire. The bundle of wire is wound as an element wire 1 for a coil to form the shape memory micro coil spring. It is preferable as the bundle of wire that a twisted wire is formed by twisting a plurality of single yarn element wires together. Preferably, a diameter of the single yarn element wire is not more than 200μm, and an outer diameter of the coil is not more than 1 mm.
