PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sealing composition capable of enhancing the strength of a sealing material. SOLUTION: This sealing composition is prepared by addingα-4PbO.B2O3 crystal powder and Pb3O4 powder at 0.0001 to 3% in total in outer percentage to a composition consisting, by mass weight percent, >=80 to <=98.99% PbO-ZnO- B2O3-SiO2 system crystal low melting glass powder, 0.01 to 5% zircon powder, over 1 to <=19.99%α-alumina powder and 0 to 10% filler.
