PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biodegradable spun-bond nonwoven fabric having excellent heat resistance and dimensional stability despite possessing biodegradability, widely usable as a base for sanitary/medical articles, clothing, a base for household and industrial articles, an agricultural material, or the like. SOLUTION: This biodegradable spun-bond nonwoven fabric is characterized in that a continuous filament composed of a biodegradable aliphatic thermoplastic resin is provided with mutually self-fusing filament zones at regular intervals and heat bonded, the fineness of the continuous filament is 1-5 denier and dry-heat shrinkage percentage of the filament constituting the nonwoven fabric at 130 deg.C is <=10%. The dry-heat shrinkage percentage of the continuous filament measured based on JIS L 1,013 at 130 deg.C is preferably <=20%. The aliphatic polyester resin is preferably a polylactic acid polymer containing >=80 mol% L-lactic acid unit or D-lactic acid unit.
