PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recyclable cushioning body made of fiber having especially improved resistance to permanent set in fatigue, improved moldability and capable of being lightened. SOLUTION: In feeding a material to a mold or setting the material in the mold and obtaining the cushioning body by molding under heating, a nonwoven fabric pretreated at 70-130 deg.C, a nonwoven fabric precompressed to <=50% thickness of the nonwoven fabric, a nonwoven fabric precompressed to <=50% thickness of the nonwoven fabric and pretreated at 70-90 deg.C is used as the material and the material having an apparent volume of 50-95 vol.% of the volume of the mold is molded at 90-130 molding temperature.
