PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material of an absorbent article capable of facilitating handling of separately packaged absorbent articles, preventing the packaged articles from slipping on each other, in packaging plural absorbent articles separately in line. SOLUTION: This packaging material for packaging an absorbent article separately has a coating layer mainly made of a prescribed synthetic resin at least on one surface. The coefficient of static friction on the surface is from 0.4 to 1.2, the average coefficient of dynamic friction being from 0.3 to 1.0, the variation range of the load examined at the time of measuring the coefficient of dynamic friction being 25 cN or less.
