SOLUTION: This apparatus for housing the tea leaves in the tea ridge striding and traveling type tea reaping machine is obtained by forming an open space 46 so as to ensure the rear visual field from the operator in a container type housing part 6 in the sulky type tea reaping machine provided by attaching a tea reaping machine body 3 having reaping blades to a traveling machine body 2 striding the tea ridge and traveling and is designed to carry out the plucking of the tea leaves, pruning, etc., of branches or trunks and then feed the reaped tea A to the container type housing part 6 at the rear of the tea reaping machine.
