The present invention discloses high viscosity surfactants which may be used when diluted to a viscosity below 2500 cP at 25.degree.C, as surfactants for the production of polyuretahne foam. Specifically, the surfactants of the present invention ha ve the generalized average formula M*DxD"yM* wherein M* is (CH3)3SiO1/2 or R(CH3)2SiO1/2; M" is R(CH3)2SiO1/2; D is (CH3)2SiO2/2; D" is (CH3)(R)SiO2/2; x is 81-220, y is 8-40 and D/(D"+M") 10; R is a polyether-containing substituent derived from a blend of CnH2n-starte d polyethers selected from two different groups such that the average molecula r mass is 1100-1800. 36
