PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant that is resistant to protoporphyrinogen IX oxidase inhibitor type herbicide. SOLUTION: This objective plant is a plant having the protoporphyrinogen IX oxidase activities that is described in the following (1) and (2): (1) Having the activities that substantially differs from the protoporphyrinogen IX oxidase activities in the naturally occurring plant. (2) Capable of imparting the resistance to the herbicide in an amount of inhibiting protoporphyrinogen IX oxidase activities in the naturally occurring plant to another plant. A plant into which the genes encoding the proteins having the properties of the following (3), (4) and (5) are transduced and can express these genes: (3) Specifically bonds to the substances relating to the protoporphyrinogen IX oxidase activities, (4) Substantially has no denaturation ability to the substance to which the proteins specifically bond, (5) Substantially not includes the frame work region in the variable region of the immunoglobulin.
