PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a modified protein (e.g. modified sarcosine oxidase) which allows simply assaying flavinadeninedinucleotide. SOLUTION: This is a method for modifying a protein (e.g. sarcosine oxidase) by deleting, substituting, or adding one amino acid or more from, in, or to an amino acid sequence constituting a protein, particularly modifying an amino acid residue covalently binding to flavin in the amino acid sequence of the protein so that the activity expression can depend on the concentration of flavinadeninedinucleotide. |
