PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact rotary tool excellent in workability thereby effectively operating striking vibration by an impact generator for generating torque while hardly transmitting the vibration to an operator. SOLUTION: In an impact rotary tool having a hammer 6 and having an impact generator A for generating torque by impactively repeating engagement of this hammer 6 and an anvil 2 arranged on an output shaft 1, the tool has a vibration generating means B for generating vibration so as to negate this striking vibration in synchronism with the striking vibration by the impact generator A.
