PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate effectively disadvantage such as break of a sheet or nonuniformity in a section in a deep-drawn part, thereby to enhance moldability and to improve the operability of demolding of a molded article, in a method and an apparatus for molding the molded article having the deep-drawn part by cold press molding of a sheet material. SOLUTION: In order to mold a deep-drawn part 11 of a molded article 10, a projecting part 33 for deep drawing is formed in a top force 30 of a press, while a recessed part 42 for deep drawing is provided in a bottom tool 40 of the press so that it corresponds to the projecting part. A support mechanism 50 is provided in the recessed part 42 and, by a support piece 53 of the support mechanism 50, a sheet material S is made to keep away from contract with the top force 30 and made to get into the recessed part 42 of the bottom tool 40. Thereby the tensile force of the top force 30 is avoided and disadvantage such as break of a sheet or nonuniformity in a section thickness is eliminated. After press molding, the support mechanism 50 is operated to demold a molded article 10 automatically from the bottom tool 40. Thereby the molded article 10 is taken out with ease.
