PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the cost of end machining by cutting both ends of a pipelike work material simultaneously. SOLUTION: Rotary main spindles 3 and 4 in a right-left relation are mounted with integrally rotatable chucks 1 and 2 for holding both right and left ends P1 and P2 of a pipelike work material P when inserted into internal surfaces S1 and S2 at both ends P1 and P2 of the pipelike workpiece P before pluralities of chuck members 1a and 2a are diametrally expanded against the internal surfaces S1 and S2. With turrets 5 and 6 positioned at both ends P1 and P2 of the pipelike work material P held by both chucks 1 and 2, cutting edges 7 and 8 mounted on the turrets 5 and 6 cut both ends P1 and P2 of the pipelike work material P simultaneously.
