PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate disassembling to parts or a unit by efficiently confirming a part to be disassembled. SOLUTION: A recording device has a structure such that a recording unit 102 can be disassembled to a frame assembly including a frame 4 and a platen assembly including a platen 14 after removing an upper case and then disassembling to the recording unit 102 and a base 101. Those units are assembly by snap fit connections and are disassemblable by releasing the snap fit connections. In marks 4b1, 4b2 indicating locations of snap fit connections, the mark 4b1 indicating the connection location of the frame assembly and the platen assembly is covered by the base 101 and just the mark 4b2 indicating the connection location of the record unit 102 and the base 101 is visible.
