摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing a work of delimbing unnecessary small branches for forming a high perpendicular thick tree having no bending such as a white cedar, cypress, Japanese cedar, pine, etc., as representative of a high quality wood for construction and other raw materials, by a robot in place of a human. SOLUTION: This robot is provided by fixing an electric powered round saw to a moving arm at the upper part of a main body having an open trunk shape, and also mounting independent side surface tree-climbing powered wheels having spikes at strategic positions of the inside of the main body having the open trunk shape. The robot working at an elevated spot for cutting branches and set at the timber requiring the branch cut travels by itself to the elevated spot while cutting the unnecessary branches with its round saw and travels by itself downward on completing the work.
