PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky type tending machine capable of enlarging the range for lifting and lowering a lifting and lowering hitch, and having a structure of a short distance to the hitch point of the tending machine. SOLUTION: This sulky type tending machine has counter cases 5a and 5b at right and left both side parts of a rear transmission case 4, protruding rearward, and right and left rear axle housings 7a and 7b supported by the counter cases 5a and 5b. The lifting and lowering hitch is installed in a vacant space between the right and left rear axle housings 7a and 7b, and its turning fulcrum 9 is formed at the rear side of the rear transmission case 4 and between the under parts of the counter cases 5a and 5b. A tie rod 10 which is a steering link of rear wheels 15a and 15b, in the right and left direction is positioned at the front side of the turning fulcrum 9.
